Our Programs

CCEF's Literacy Mentoring Program is our foundational service, matching trained mentors with children in Kindergarten through 3rd grade across Colquitt County. Our mentors meet regularly with their mentees to encourage reading and assist with language development. All mentors are volunteers! CCEF offers several training sessions annually for perspective mentors.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (DPIL) is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books free of charge to children from birth to age five, through funding shared by Dolly Parton and local community partners. The Colquitt County Educational Foundation, in partnership with the Colquitt County School District and United Way of Colquitt County, serve as your local DPIL funders and organizers.

Every child born at Colquitt Regional Medical Center receives a Welcome Baby Packer Kit. The Baby Packer initiative is a partnership between CRMC, United Way of Colquitt County, and the Colquitt County School District. The kits include a Packer onesie, a book, a baby toothbrush, information on signing up for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program, and more!
